Greetings to you!! My name is Sandi Waters. I am a special education teacher for Burke Elementary School in the Hickman Mills School District. I have also taught 4 years in the Kansas City, MO School District and 2 years in the Independence School District. I am certified in Mild/Moderate Cross Caterogical Disabilities by the University of Kansas City/Missouri. I am 2 classes away from receiving my Master's Degree in Special Education. My class at Burke is the Resource Room. I pull out most of my students for additional reading and math instruction. This year my students range from 3rd grade to 5th grade.
I have a new addition to my family. In March 2009, I had a beautiful baby girl. Her name is Hannah. She is my joy and sunshine. When I leave my school each day, I am a first time as well as a new mother. It is a pleasure to teach your child, and I look forward to meeting each parent of my students.
